kind professor

BOONE, NC– Patiently waiting until all the sounds of muffled crying had subsided, local professor Dr. Steven Hearty informed the now somber student that all grades are final. “I told the whole class that there would be no extra credit, no rounding…nothing,” said Dr. Hearty as the student quietly sat in fetal position on the office couch, informing him that there were plenty of opportunities throughout the year to improve his grade, and that if he was having trouble in the class, he should have come to the posted office hours on ASUlearn. “I think I’m a pretty fair grader. I don’t assign too much work and what I do assign isn’t too hard. You should have put in more of an effort.” At press time, the professor had concluded speaking and was staring at the student waiting if he’d have another argument or just leave.
